In 2021, the Indian startup ecosystem witnessed the formation of around four unicorns every month. Total start-up funding surged three fold to $39 billion, and 42 startups achieved the unicorn status. When a startup is valued at over $1 billion, it achieves the unicorn status.
According to the 4th edition of the PGA Labs Soonicorns List, the same streak is likely to continue in 2022. As of Oct-Dec 2021, India has at least 15 FinTechs that can enter the Unicorn club. Here’s the list, collated by PGA Labs for ETBFSI.
